Welcome.

Dear PACE members,

At the recent annual conference, we discussed the future of PACE. It was quite apparent from the discussins that there is lots of networking and interactions between members but this activity is hidden. It was therefore decided that where possible any networking should be done through the PACE website, so members can see how effective we are as an organisation.

I have therefore removed the old forum and replaced it with a new better version. It is no longer in the members only area but you are required to register a username and password. This means more facilities of the forum can be used like Polls and I have set up a sample poll for you all to vote on.

The forum has all the old topics and posts, so we have not lost any data.

NOW is the time for all members to make that extra effort and get this forum moving. Please make sure you register and join in the topics, I have also addedd a new section for our sponsor's. They will be invited to join their own topic. They will not be able to see the PACE general topics or any other sponsor's topics. You will be able to ask them questions about their product etc.

We, in the PACE management are working hard to improve the networking and use of PACE, BUT we need members to increase contributions !!

As a result of a change in the constitution, members from outside Europe can become members of PACE but with none voting rights. Hopefully this will encourage new members with more networking posibilities and working practises.

" P.A.C.E. is an acronym standing for Police Air Support Units Networking Centre Europe"

PACE is a network of delegated and individual members of European police air support units as well as associated members , founded during the "First International Police Air Support Units Conference" in Brussels, 1998.

Vision

The vision behind PACE is a dream of police air support being totally effective and giving "best value for money" thanks to the close mutual support of all European police air support units. The PACE philosophy is based on the following principles: -

-Every air support unit and project team establishing an air support unit should stop trying to "reinvent the wheel"

-Since the means of all police forces in general and of police air support units in particular are limited, one should try to get the optimum use of the allocated means via co-operation and mutual support.
